Sometimes I enjoy progress photos over finished pieces. There is something about seeing the process for me. I think personally it’s about visualizing your growth and improving yourself. Seeing what was and what it became. That’s the thing I love about painting—The steps you take to get to its permanence in the world.

I tend to have a heavy hand and have trouble with leaving things soft and light. This was a step in the light direction (I love a good pun) and I love how this illustration played out.
